Kumeu River Chardonnay, Maté’s Vineyard, is the flagship wine of the acclaimed Kumeu River winery in New Zealand. Sourced from a single vineyard planted in 1990 and named in honor of founder Maté Brajkovich, this wine consistently ranks among the finest Chardonnays outside of Burgundy. Grown in clay-rich soils near Auckland, Maté’s Vineyard Chardonnay is hand-harvested and barrel-fermented using indigenous yeasts, then aged in French oak.
