IDDA 2023 Bianco Sicilia DOP is a captivating white wine crafted from 100% Carricante grapes, sourced from the southern slopes of Mount Etna, specifically the vineyards in Biancavilla and Belpasso. This vintage showcases a luminous straw-yellow hue with greenish reflections. On the nose, it reveals an intricate bouquet of citrus fruits like lemon and orange, intertwined with notes of orange blossom, wisteria, and a touch of marzipan. Subtle hints of hydrocarbon and minerality add depth to the aromatic profile. The palate is greeted with flavors of ripe peach, passion fruit, and papaya, complemented by a vibrant acidity and a firm, mineral-driven texture. The wine undergoes whole-bunch cold press fermentation, followed by aging in both oak and stainless steel for 6–9 months, resulting in a well-integrated oak influence and a crisp, lingering finish.
