The Domaine Faiveley 2022 Corton Clos des Cortons Faiveley Grand Cru Monopole opens with an elegant bouquet of ripe black cherries, cassis, and wild berries, interwoven with hints of violet, earthy underbrush, and finely integrated oak.  On the palate, it is powerful yet refined, showcasing a deep core of dark fruit, firm but polished tannins, and a vibrant acid backbone.  The texture is layered and muscular, characteristic of the Corton terroir, with a long, mineral-driven finish that hints at excellent aging potential.  A commanding and harmonious expression of this historic monopole.
